Turning tragedy into life-saving possibilities

We launched Thaumatec in 2014 as an embedded software development company. Over the years we further specialized in building Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions for our customers. However, it wasn’t until the autumn of 2020 that we realized what our true mission was. After a close family member of mine was diagnosed with MS and Parkinson’s, it became clear that tech could have an incredible impact on improving and maintaining quality of life. The combination of technology and medicine unleashes the potential that is now, more than ever, the great force against many difficult issues connected with health. As Thaumatec, we dedicate our whole potential to fully utilize technical skills and improve people’s health, wellbeing and quality of life.

Barend Smet

President of the Management Board

Barend has more than 20 years of experience working in international management, executive and finance roles, as well as broad experience as an entrepreneur in setting up companies in the field of IT and the Internet of Things in the Netherlands and Poland. As Chairman of the Management Board he is responsible for the group strategy, business development and partnerships.

Maciej Stachura

Chief Executive Officer

Maciej is a big enthusiast of any kind of software with almost 15 years of experience in software engineering. During his career he delivered products and solutions for Siemens and Cinterion Wireless Modules, then he specialized in providing software engineering services in Research & Engineering Center and GlobalLogic. In Thaumatec, Maciej is responsible for general management and sales activities

Dmytro Shestachuk

Chief Technology Officer

Dmytro has held leadership positions not only in Poland but in Ukraine as well. He started there as a Mobile NetworkShift Engineer and worked his way up the ladder and landed as a Solution Architect and Embedded Practice. Coordinator for GlobaLogic in Poland. Furthermore, he became an expert in handling architectural multi-project solutions related to the Embedded IoT areas. Dmytro will be Thaumatec’s “key architect” to lead the path to new projects that will enable the company to thrive.

Paweł Bryła

Chief Operating Officer

Pawel has experience in domains of telecommunication, connectivity, and IoT. He gathered his knowledge working on different positions, starting as a tester to become COO across his 12 years career in small local companies, as well as huge multinational ones. Success-oriented and ready to talk on different topics, especially connected with the IT sector. In Thaumatec he is responsible for delivering projects, developing our HR activities and supporting sales processes.

Dariusz Wróblewski

Head of Delivery

Darek has extensive experience in management, with a strong focus on human capital, project delivery, and achieving business objectives. Throughout his career, he has consistently sought new challenges and professional growth opportunities. In Thaumatec, Darek is responsible for the process of delivering projects in line with client expectations, which are defined in close cooperation with the sales team.

Jan-Willem is an entrepreneur who held board member and senior managerial positions at multinationals, like Siemens, Vodafone and Essent to start-ups as Redsalt and Thaumatec. He has been working in the IT and IoMT-industry for many years now, in markets like Energy, Electronics and Logistics.
